STREAM Girls

Friday, June 19th, 2015 - 1:00pm to Saturday, June 20th, 2015 - 9:00pm

STREAM Girls is a collaborative program started here in Wisconsin that takes Girl Scouts out on the stream, teaches them about the science behind stream health, riparian vegetation, entomology, and water flow- and gives us an opportunity to share our passion for the sport of fishing.

We will be holding our second annual STREAM Girls this year, near Stevens Point, at Jordan Park. It is a two-day program, on June 19th and 20th, and we need volunteers! You can help us for one or both days, but I guarantee the girls' excitement is contagious and you will want to come back for more!

If you are interested in helping out, we need volunteers for help with macroinvertebrates, leading a stream walk, fly tying, fly casting, and taking the girls fishing.

If you follow the link below, you can sign up to volunteer online, or you can contact me at heidi.oberstadt@gmail.com or 715.573.5104. We would love to have you join us!
