Groundwater Advocacy Training

Sunday, February 22nd, 2015 - 7:00pm to Sunday, February 22nd, 2015 - 10:00pm

Good afternoon Trout Unlimited Friends,

Whew! There are a lot of conservation matters in the news right now. On top of all of the new concerns, groundwater legislation is looking for co-sponsorship this week and more groundwater legislation is expected soon.

As Aaron Frailing, Staush Gruszynski, and my colleague Helen Sarakinos explained at the state council meeting last Saturday, we are planning a groundwater advocacy training to provide background and updates on the groundwater legislation and to provide training on advocacy best practices.

This training will have some similarities to the trainings we held in 2013 and 2014, but will also include specific groundwater information and strategies. If you attended a past training, you will receive new information in this training as well as a brief refresher on advocacy.

We will be conducting this groundwater advocacy update and training together with the Central Sands Water Action Coalition (CSWAC) so they can reach out to their members on this issue as well. The Frank Hornberg Chapter is a member of CSWAC.

Here are the training details so far. A full agenda will follow shortly.

Date: Sunday, February 22

Time: 1:00-4:00PM

Location: WWII Veterans Memorial in Wautoma
