Name:
Andrew Skog
About me:
I caught my first brook trout with a hook and a worm in the Driftless Area of Wisconsin when I was 21 years old. Two week later I was diagnosed with cancer of the spine and brain. After I had surgery on my lower back in 2010, I started fly fishing for trout and other species. It helped me to cope with the stress of future treatments and the anxiety that everyone experiences when they are diagnosed with cancer. Soon after, I joined TU and teamed up with the Harry and Laura Nohr Chapter of TU in southwestern Wisconsin. I am currently their webmaster, and I will be serving as a board member until 2015. I also volunteer for Reel Recovery so that I can help others diagnosed with cancer ease their pain and anxiety. Be well! Fish on!
