I'm a middle aged guy from Iowa, Tennessee, Illinois, Florida and I currently live on the edge of the driftless area in Wisconsin. My favorite fly rods are a Sage 389LL and an Orvis bamboo Seven/Four. Favorite all around freshwater fly is a deer hair caddis and for salt I like a Gotcha or some other variant of a Crazy Charley. Although I've been a lifelong fly rodder, I've also picked up hard tackle - this being WI and all. But whether tossing spinners or slinging crankbait, I'll use bamboo if I can get away with it. In years' past I used to call Black Earth Creek; now I won't say where I'm going.
